Process

Carefully selected, personally vetted and annually audited. Our factory network is handpicked to ensure they exceed our strict standards.

1.0 Invite Only

Factories can’t just join our network, they have to be selected. We actively and only invite the best factories of each region

2.0 In-person Reviews

We're on the ground so you don't have to be. Our team visits all Calico certified factories and regularly provides recommendations to improve working conditions, environmental responsibility and safety standards.

3.0 Extensive quality control and sampling

We sample from all our factories to review the quality of production and explore new fabrics, techniques and styles. This sampling, combined with our local sourcing managers, ensure that you only receive the highest quality products.

4.0 Sustainability and certifications

Certifications are are a great way to ensure that you are working with the right factory but they don’t always show the full picture. Calico goes the extra mile to monitor certification requirements and unique initiatives factories are undertaking to be more responsible.
